Why do anime fans act like the magical girl genre is just Sailor Moon and Madoka? Not every magical girl needs to transform. She doesn’t need to do stupid poses. She doesn’t need to have an arch enemy or love interest. And she doesn’t have to be a complete Sailor Moon rip off. It’s just as bad as thinking the Giant Robot genre is solely Gundam.
